Critical Incident Response is a structured intervention provided by a team of trained counsellors. The intervention helps individuals or groups cope with emotional reactions and concerns associated with a traumatic event. Depending upon the number of people requiring service, an individual counsellor or a team of counsellors will respond quickly to address and mitigate the impact of trauma.
Available on a fee-for-service basis, this service can be purchased by:
- An employer to address the impact of traumatic events in the workplace, i.e. an accident or threatening event
- An individual for themselves or a family member
- A Union to assist members
- A service or service delivery organization to assist members or clients
